In this article he started off with this famous line from
Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, "Dave, stop. Stop, will you?
Stop, Dave. Will you stop, Dave?" which it's an interesting opening. He
talked about how technology makes our life easier to do research, information,
knowledge, and essay access...etc. all these good stuff. But at the same time
it makes us become lazy and not as erudite. He also talked about he used
to read word to word when he was reading. Now he tend to skim through it and
find the answers instead of reading it.
I admit that lots of time I like to skim through articles
just to find my answers. Is google making us stupid? In some ways, yes. Because
we abuse the easy access and not actually learning things. But I’m there are
some people that use google as a tool to learn more knowledge. It’s just most
of us chose not to because we can always google the answers instead of leaning
it.
